Via [[https://granny.homelinux.org/~ignium/wp|Ignium’s blog]] I saw this [[http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8977126834338884540&q=multitouch&pl=true|google video]] that shows Multitouch, a new computer interface, in action. Earlier last month, Jeff Han, from NYU’s Computer Science department gave a demo on [[http://blog.wired.com/etech/|ETech]] of Multitouch and as you can see it’s a truly amazing piece of technology.
If you’ve seen the movie Minority Report this sure must ring a bell. According to Phil Windley in this [[http://www.windley.com/archives/2006/03/multitouch_inte.shtml|post]], where he describes briefly Jeff Han’s talk, Jeff himself pointed out that tactile feedback is more intuitive than gestural interfaces (think Minority Report’s gestural interface) for casual users.
